Hunters Star

Have been wanting to do this for many years now....thought it was too difficult till I came across The Spruce Crafts pattern....I loved the way they had done it and followed the pattern to get this beautiful qt....the floral fabric is from Buccas in Madras and the white on white is from Jo Ann...still to be quilted though....

Squares in blacks with sashing

• This quilt was done cos of Reethi’s naughtiness 😁she laid out the squares on the floor and said add sashing and finish it....since it was on the floor had to finish it quickly....this was all different blacks from our stash....it’s queen size...think it was quilted by methaikaran in Pondy Bazar,Madras. Don’t remember which year....

Carpet weave pattern

• This was a pattern inspired by carpets.....did this for Geetha and Narayan’s grandson Damien Alexander.....
• Since have not maintained this blog now adding pictures of quilts pulling out of albums....it’s painstaking but what to do....if names or size details are not there it’s cos I don’t remember 🙈🙈

Plus quilt for Dorai

• This was a quilt made for Dorai.....got the pattern from someone but didn’t use it....took tips from Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilts.....Jaggu helped a lot in the laying out and colour scheme....as a backing I tried the shawls that I have collected from traveling.....but that was a disaster as there was so much static.....then ended up using these orange flowered ones poplin from Nalli....love this pattern and the fabric used.....should do a repeat some day.....

Slip Knot QT

• This is a quilt top inspired by “ Illusion Quilts made easy” by Nancy Zieman, it’s called Slip Knot Quilt Pattern. Wanted to make a queen size qt....thought I could double the pattern to get a big size but it didn’t work....then made it to Nancy’s size and then Reethi came up with a beautiful border idea that really got it to queen size..still to be quilted....maybe in the near future 🤞🤞🤞

Starburst quilt made for Rekha and Pradeep’s baby girl

This was a quilt made for a little baby girl....will get her name and include it later....very excited that I have figured out how to upload pics into the blog.....hope I remember 🙈🙈😁😁! The baby was born on  22 August 2019.
