Single Irish Chain for Kaavya Ambika Panda.The fabric was bought in Nalli in Madras.Since the quilting machine was not working this was a quick project....

Log Cabin

For Tapati.

This was a King size quilt top for Tapati and Anupam. This was done somewhere around 2005 to 2007 in Wildgrass Road house. Reethi painstakingly quilted it on a normal sewing machine with a lot of trouble due to the size.

Walmart Pattern

This was also a walmart pattern........dont remember the name.....with us!

Simply Stars

This started off as Shakespeare in the Park.....guess what.....I found it difficult to follow the pattern with scraps.....then decided would do stars of  3 different colours  and came up with this layout! This star is one of the blocks for S in the P! So.....got a lot of practise doing it.....have bought some more fabric from Nalli(😳)....should start it soon before I forget. This one is for Kaushik and Nayathika after quilting.....maybe with squiggles!

A quilt top for Harveen and Krishna

This is from Reethi's book again! Very kindly she let me use some lovely tie and dye fabric from Nigeria! And this was the result .....in fact she put it on the quilting machine and "I" finished the quilting too....though just squiggles! Reethi very kindly did the binding.....can't believe I finished the qt in just 3 weeks and managed to quilt it too. Just shows if there is a huge deadline am game for it.....very pleased with myself. It was very well received by Harveen and Krishna too.....well worth the effort. Will put another pic with the quilting and binding too.

Running to catchup!

OMG! How many things to catch up.....it's a learning curve to blog and I forget the how to's easily.....today's resolution .....at least one picture to be loaded up....let's see what happens at the end of the day

Almost a years work to catch up on the blog

It's been more than a year since I posted anything...sheer procrastination ...that's it. Now it feels like I have to climb a huge mountain to catch up on all that i did.....but will try shortly . Reethi and I jointly bought a juki quilting machine to quilt our own quilts and later on to try doing it for others   .  Well....the machine was bought and  set up by Reethi last November and I finally picked up courage to learn only this February ! Now....isn't that a shame? But am happy that I did  it  finally. Reethi was my very patient teacher.....can you believe that?! Anyways.....to end a long story short,I intact enjoy quilting on the machine! At the same time I bought a juki sewing machine for myself.....just a straight stitch one.....and my word does it stitch well! For the last 10 years have been following crazymom quilts ,where Amanda Jean has been praising this juki. Now with this machine stitching is no longer a hair tearing experience! Soon I will upload the pictures of quilts made during this time.....
