Machine problems quilting

Now, to my tale of woe (or polambals). This is one among my favourite patterns....the first problem was that i did not like the flowered fabric as it kept turning (flowers in all directions)...working with 3 fabrics was another, lastly ran out of the green.....so in other words a whole host of problems. To cap it all as i was quilting on the machine.....there were more problems with the machine.....so much so that it took close to 6 months to finish.....in between had the mechanic come home etc..in some places the quilting sucks big time....but decided to keep it myself and finished binding yesterday.

One day when i have some time, am going to do this and also Snails trail with just 2 fabrics.....

Radhika and Anand,Rail fence pattern

This Qt was done as a house warming present for Radhika and Anand,quite a few years back...in a bid to collect all the old photos asked Radhika and she had it with her....took a pic of it and here it is after a few hiccups(forgot how to upload images)

Diamonds in a Square,Rhea,Sushma and Raj 's baby

OMG! what di i do with this frail memory.....forgot how to upload a picture on to the blog...polambifying to Kesh and i tried what he told me and voila    ......here it is.

Reethi and Bernie went to Lisbon recently....when i was talking and telling R need a pattern for a baby ,she sent me this picture of a tile from Lisbon....she explained briefly how to go about it, tried a block and the end result is this beautiful QT!

A Dream Come True!
A huge challenge for me....if not for Chandra and Priya's help this would not have been possible.Thid QT was inspired by quilts made by Chandra,Priya and Reethi. Was sitting on the fence for a number of years thinking it was too difficult for moi....finally did it ,and am over the moon:)! Now want to try one with just 2 colours....

Don't remember whom i made this for....maybe Aarthi(Ramya"s daughter )for her wedding.

Anjaneyar padhutha

Wanted to make a padhutha for Anjaneyar.....just used scraps and my own pattern. Very often see it being used at the temple whenever there is "vennai kaappu" for Anjaneyar! Will try and post a picture  of this being used.

Simply Stars Quilted version

Simply Stars...
What was supposed to be Shakespeare in the Park ultimately turned out to be Simply Stars!! This will be mailed to Kaushik as a wedding present almost a year later. Long arm quilting machine was out for close to 7 months ...hence the delay.

A QT made with Reethi's pattern....in shades of reds and oranges....spectacular QT.....gave to Steph as she liked it very much!

Again a QT made from Reethi's Moroccon Magic. This was made for Lakshmi,Sudha and Guna's daughter.

Arjun's Quilt

From Reethi's Moroccos Magic Quilt book.....made for Arjun(Amrita and Bala Kattapuram son). Reethi graciously gave me some nigerian fabric and the result was beautiful.
